Privacy Policy

Her Era Spreadsheets (“Her Era,” “we,” “us”) operates hereraspreadsheets.com and the connected member app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who visits the site or creates an account.

Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, and password (stored securely by our authentication provider — we never see or store your password in plain text) when you create an account.

Content you add. Anything you enter into the app — budget and transaction data, journal entries, planner tasks, cycle and wellness logs, pet records, and similar member content.

Financial account data. If you connect a bank account, we receive account, balance, and transaction data through Plaid, our bank-connection partner. Plaid access tokens are encrypted at rest.

Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly and shares back only what we need to manage your subscription (e.g., plan, billing status).

Wearable data. If you connect a WHOOP, Oura, or Fitbit account, we receive recovery, sleep, workout, and related metrics from that provider to show in your Her Era dashboard.

Calendar data. If you connect Google or Microsoft Calendar, we access the calendar data needed to power sync features you turn on.

Her Circle content. Posts, reactions, and messages you choose to share with other members through Her Circle, visible only to the audience you select for each post.

Usage data. Basic, first-party analytics — page visited, device type, and referring source — to understand how the site is used. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

Communications. Anything you send us through the contact form or by email.

How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve Her Era's features
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To sync data from accounts you choose to connect (bank, wearable, calendar)
• To power features you opt into, like Her Circle, insights, and reminders
• To send you service messages (password resets, receipts, and notifications you've enabled)
• To respond when you contact us
• To keep the app secure and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial or health data for advertising.

Sensitive information

Some of what Her Era stores is sensitive by nature — bank account and transaction data, and health and wellness information like cycle tracking, symptoms, mood check-ins, and medications. This data is protected by row-level access controls so that only you can read your own records, and bank access tokens are encrypted at rest. We treat this category of data with extra care and never share it with other members or third parties beyond what's described in this policy.

Who we share information with

We work with a small number of service providers to run Her Era. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication
• Stripe — processes payments and manages billing
• Plaid — powers bank account connections, if you choose to connect one
• WHOOP, Oura, and Fitbit — provide wearable data, only if you connect a device
• Google and Microsoft — power calendar sync, only if you connect a calendar
• Vercel — hosts the application

Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy. We don't sell your information to anyone, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Other Her Era members. If you use Her Circle, content you post is visible to whichever audience you choose for that post — just you, friends, a specific circle, or people you pick directly. Your name and @handle become visible to other members once you claim a handle.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Her Era or our members.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a first-party analytics beacon to understand which pages are used and how. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual records (a bank connection, a wearable connection, a journal entry, and so on) at any time from within the app. To delete your entire account and associated data, contact us at contact@hereraspreadsheets.com.

Your choices

• Disconnect any linked bank, wearable, or calendar account at any time in Settings
• Turn off Her Circle by switching on Solo mode, which hides you from other members
• Opt out of non-essential email and push notifications
• Request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us

Security

We use encryption, access controls, and industry-standard practices to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security — but protecting member data, especially financial and health information, is something we take seriously and keep improving.

Children's privacy

Her Era is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18.

International users

Her Era is operated in the United States, and information we collect may be processed and stored there.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
